Magna-Latch or Latched LVD Contactor, 125 Amp - 1800 Amp
The MAGNA-LATCH, Latched Low Voltage Disconnect Contactor is more compact than traditional low voltage disconnects. The contactor coil only requires momentary power to be applied to the coil to open and close the contacts. Momentary power to the coil closes the contact, while a momentary reverse power signal to the coil opens the contact. This eliminates the heat generated by the coil. The fail-safe design only allows the contacts to open and close when the appropriate signal is applied. The Latching Coils can be driven by the KPG series coil drivers for those not wanting to design their own coil driver.
KPG Series Magnalatch Coil Driver
NEW The KPG Series Coil Drivers designed for Latching contactors generate two opposite polarity pulses on the load terminals that are connected to the Magna Latch Contactor coil to open and close the contactor. The product family will operate with 7-60 Vdc momentarily applied to the input terminals.
JAR49 and JCR49 Emergency Contactor Disconnects, 100 Amp - 300 Amp
The JAR and JCR provides a means of shutting of the supply, using a manually-operated pushbutton (in case of emergency conditions or electrical faults). When the pushbutton is pressed in, the coil is overridden, ensuring that no contact can be made by breaking the load current.

49SD 600 Amp Magnetic Switch
Designed for Intermittent Use For Trucks, Buses, Off-Highway, Industrial and Marine Applications Prestolite 49SD Series Magnetic Switches are made in four voltage ranges and are identical, except for their coils. Each coil is suited to a particular voltage requirement. The switches are completely waterproof, and are submersible to 6 p.s.i., for maximum reliability in all environments. The totally enclosed housing and contact circuits feature permanent "O" ring seals to lock out moisture and contaminants. Contacts are machined of specially selected materials for long life and ability to handle high currents at the specified voltage. A control spring assures positive contact disc pressure and acts as a shock absorber when the contacts are closed, to extend contact life. The low mass plunger and a strong return spring provide spontaneous break-away when the switch is de-energized, and maintains an open circuit when switch is subjected to vibration or shock loads. The switches close under low voltage conditions, insuring operation on partially discharged batteries and low current draw reduces the drain on the battery during cranking. Features: - Totally enclosed, waterproof construction, submersible to 6 p.s.i.
- Interchangeable with the 49SC Series Magnetic Switches
- Improved interior connections for added resistance to vibration
- Heavy-duty, long life contacts
- Lightweight, fast-acting plunger
- Non-chattering design
- Standard mounting dimensions
- Can be mounted vertically or horizontally

Ferroresonant Industrial Battery Chargers
The quality designed and manufactured ferroresonant transformer is the heart of the efficient charger. The power conversion circuitry is designed to maximize battery life with its constantly tapering charge, automatically regulated by the "on charge" battery voltage. The output current of the charger is determined by the state of discharge of the battery. The battery is precisely charged, based on its depth of discharge.
SCR Industrial Battery Charger
Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) type battery chargers regulate charging current by allowing the battery to determine its own charge cycle rate in accordance with its state of discharge. SCR chargers provide a constant current-constant voltage-constant current (I-E-I) charge that eliminates the possibility of overcharging, even with line voltage variations of +/- 10%, and allows the battery to finish at the proper current regardless of its age or temperature.
